The Taiwanese manufacturer Kymco announced its new model Like 125 EV. Visually, it is similar to the combustion engine model Like 125, but a blue border in the lighting area indicates that it is an electric vehicle. The vehicle is stated to have a range of up to 200 km. The battery can be charged in the vehicle, but is also designed as an interchangeable battery system. With a second set of batteries, continuous availability can be achieved. For easier handling when changing the battery, it is divided into 5 modules of 650 watt hours, each weighing only 6kg.
The engine achieves a maximum output of 3.2 kW and a torque of 124 Nm. This allows the scooter to reach a maximum speed of 45 km/h.
The vehicle weighs 110kg and has the dimensions 1,935 x 690 x 1,145mm. A disc brake is installed at the front and a drum brake at the rear.
It is not yet certain when the Like 125 EV will be launched on the European market. The price is expected to be around EUR 1,200.
